MyBigCareer Future Makers are equality-focussed businesses and influential individuals opening up opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve the future they deserve.

Bringing businesses together

We’re inviting businesses of all sizes to join Future Makers, an outcome-driven collaboration which aims to harness the skills of employee volunteers, open up workplace opportunities and connections, and provide funding to enable us to support more pupils at schools in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities.

We believe that partnerships with business are fundamental to unlocking the social mobility crisis facing young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. High quality Career Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) is proven to inspire young people from an early age and challenge stereotypes relating to gender, class or ethnicity – but 82% of teachers don’t have sufficient information to be confident giving careers advice.  

As a MyBigCareer Future Maker your business will be joining like-minded companies and their employees helping us support schools in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities who are struggling to provide CEIAG due to lack of resources and knowledge. But the value flows both ways. 

We’ll help you shout about your ESG credentials and proactive approach to diversity, equality and inclusion. We’ll train your employees to be volunteer Career Coaches, and we’ll work together to create workplace experiences for young people who are held back through lack of connections and access to opportunities.

Membership benefits

As a Future Makers member we ask you to make a minimum annual commitment of £5,000, with a range of additional options and donation levels depending on the scale of our collaboration with your business.
